Black Kite Coffee Opens Its Doors!

We promised in the last blog to give you a tour of the finished cafe. Well, here it is! Okay, so there are STILL one or two jobs that need doing (outdoor stone tables and some extra shelving in the kitchen/roasting space) but I suspect there will always be ‘just one or two jobs to finish.’

It has certainly felt like a long journey for us, even though it has really only been around six months from conception to completion. A particular low-point was walking in one morning to discover a strange damp patch above the coffee bar; after a period of denial, we realised that we had indeed mistakenly drilled into a main drainage pipe whilst fitting the above-counter display pieces.

Despite the lows, we really love the space that has developed. We have been showered with compliments; most commonly people think our cafe is ‘super cute.’ Perhaps we can enter the cutest cafe in Pokhara competition (if there was one).

Anyway, enjoy the videos and photographs and maybe visit us one day to actually see it and enjoy our coffee!

Finally! A quick shout out to Upashna Poudel of Envision Builders, for her amazing cafe design work. Thank you Upashna!
